Quality Engineer, Software and Services Group
"Intel is a great company that gives you a lot of resources and opportunities. Here you'll find great flexibility you won't find in a lot of places, and the work environment is great."
What do I do at Intel?
I work in the Process and Quality Services within Intel's Software and Services Group as a process improvement engineer. I'm responsible for the engineering tools framework of the site, which means I evaluate, implement and support the tools our engineering teams use on a daily basis. I also perform Process Audits regarding our CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) process framework and I work with teams as a project coach.
What is a cool opportunity that I've had while working at Intel?
I have the opportunity to work with most of the projects at the site (Cordoba), because I work for a support group and play different roles. Some of the projects I'm in contact with are services projects, innovation projects and cluster projects. This is great because I have contact with many groups, which provides an opportunity to get to know a variety of people, learn from them, and then apply my knowledge.
What would I tell a prospective employee about working here?
Intel is a great company that gives you a lot of resources and opportunities. Here you'll find great flexibility you won't find in a lot of places, and the work environment is great. It's a place where you will meet very interesting and prepared people. The work won't be easy; but it will be very rewarding.
What do I do when I'm NOT at work?
Once I leave the office, I start the second half of my day. I'm the mom of two 'almost' teenagers and try to spend the rest of day with them, plus do housework and take my spinning classes. I also enjoy going out with friends and watching movies while eating popcorn.
