"There are always lots of things going on at Intel. We have a Great Place to Work Team in HR who organize a large variety of activities—anything from bowling evenings, to team lunches, to quarterly team events."

What's the biggest misconception that I think people have about working at Intel?

That everyone at Intel is a computer whiz kid.

Yes, Intel has a huge number of highly talented engineers and technology innovators; however, Intel is a huge company with many different career paths in different functions. You don't have to be a computer genius to have a successful career at Intel.

What's the most fun experience I've had while working at Intel?

I took part in the UK Corporate games. I was part of over 100 Swindon Intel employees that traveled up to Leeds to compete against other UK companies in a variety of sports. It was a fun-filled weekend that involved competing, cheering each other on and letting our hair down in the games party. Intel, by far, made the most effort on the fancy dress front. There was a great feeling of team spirit and I met people I would never have come across in my job role. I was part of the girls' five aside football team and although we didn't win we tried hard and had a great weekend.

What networks or communities do I participate in at Intel?

I belong to the HR Greater European Region's Recent College Graduate (RCG) Network and the Swindon RCG network. It has really helped me settle into Intel. Knowing other RCGs across different functions has been great for my networking and there is always someone on hand that can help or they know someone else that can. Also it's great for my social life!

What's the coolest Website or Blog that I've discovered recently?

I think www.moneysavingexpert.com is a great website and is full of advice, tips, tools and blogs on how to save money on anything from utility bills to savings accounts to insurance.

If I could live and work abroad for a year, where would I go?

I would like to work in one of the South American countries... Costa Rica perhaps. I have visited South America on vacation and absolutely loved it. It would be a great experience and a completely different culture to the UK and, of course, much better weather!

What's the most adventurous thing I've ever done?

What's the most adventurous thing I've ever done?Probably a skydive—I did this for a local charity earlier this year. It was supported by Intel and organized by the interns.
